Mary (Camara) Jorge, 86, of 211 Tarrytown Road, died November 14, 2002, at Elliot Hospita. She was born in Lowell, Ma., on September 24, 1916, the daughter of Bento and Mary (Freitas) Camara and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. She was the widow of Domingos Jorge, Sr., who died in 1983. Mary was active with her many senior friends at her housing complex. She was a member of A.A.R.P. She worked many years for Tam O'Shanter and also Pandora. Mrs. Jorge was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Family members include a son Domingos Jorge, Jr., of Marblehead, Ma., a daughter Mrs. Anthony (Mary) Lazzar of Manchestr, two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Philip (Hilda) Latessa of Dracut, Ma., and Mrs. Alexander (Gariela) McKinnon of Lowell, Ma., several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Sunday from 2 to 5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
