Mary Bienvenue Marszal

Mary T. (Maccarone) (Bienvenue) Marszal, 99, of Bedford, died on July 7, 2015 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home.

She was born in Newburyport, MA on April 27, 1916, the daughter of Nicholas and Rose (Sylvestri) Maccarone and had been a Manchester area resident for most of her life. She worked in local shoe mills and later as a cashier and then as the head bookkeeper for Grand Union Champagne Supermarkets. She loved going to Foxwoods, playing bingo, traveling, sitting on the beach, and enjoyed great dinner and wine. She also loved spending time with her family. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Raphael Church. She was predecease by her first husband, Ernest Bienvenue, Sr. in 1979, by her second husband Walter Marszal in 1999 and by a son, Carl H. Bienvenue in 2002.

Family members include two sons, Richard Bienvenue of Bedford and Ernest Bienvenue, Jr. and his wife Lilla of Melbourne, FL; two daughters, Elaine Wood of Bedford and Diane Fisher and her husband Robert of Hudson; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a sister, Lena Krager of West Newbury, MA; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Manchester on Friday from 10:00 AM to Noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday afternoon at 12:30 PM in St. Raphael Church. Graveside committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
