Mary C. Matthews

Mary C. Matthews, 55 of Richmond VA and formerly of Manchester, died March 25, 2009 in Richmond. She was born in Maryland on February 28, 1954 and had been a New Hampshire resident since 1989. She was very active in local church music ministries in New Hampshire. She had taught music at West Side Catholic School in Manchester and also at St. Patrick's School in Jaffrey. She had also worked at Ste. Marie's daycare. She was a member of the Mother Rivier Association. In Her Life: Family members include her son, Ryan Matthews of Nashua, her daughter, Mairead Graf and her husband Scott of Yarmouthport, MA; her parents, Jack and Gloria (Yokko) Hendrickson of Ocean City, NJ; a sister, Carolyn Wilburt and her husband Michael of Richmond, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cullither Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center, 5875 Bremo Rd., Suite 104, Richmond, VA 23226.
