Mary A. Neugebauer

Mary A. Neugebauer, 101, died Jan. 14, 2007 at Harborside Healthcare Northwood nursing home, Bedford, NH, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Manchester, December 3, 1905, one of eleven children of Joseph and Sophia Neugebauer. She attended Manchester schools and Hesser College, taking business book keeping courses. She retired after 35 years as a book-keeper for Lyon’s Iron Works in Manchester. She and her sister, Helen, now deceased, moved to Bedford, NH and lived there for about ten years and she was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church. About 1970, she moved back to Manchester, where she was commended for doing volunteer work to assist and support the Manchester schools. Miss Neugebauer enjoyed traveling and did a lot of traveling with her sister. She is survived by several nephews and nieces. There are no calling hours. A small Memorial Mass for family and close friends of immediate family will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford on Thursday at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
