Mary H. Stefekos

Mary Helen Stefekos, 95, of Littleton, passed away on March 23, 2025, at home with her son at her side.

Mary was born in Littleton on June 11,1929. She was the daughter of Alonzo and Mary Woods and was a lifelong Littleton resident. She attended St. Rose of Lima grade schools and graduated with the class of 1948 from Littleton High School. Mary was also a devoted member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

After graduating High School, she began her career as a telephone supervisor. She worked at New England Telephone and Telegraph / AT & T for 31 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. After retirement from the telephone company, Mary worked for Kelley/ Mackenzie Auto Parts of Littleton for several years as well as for Littleton Hospital as a telephone operator/receptionist.

In 1964 she married Christo “Chris” Stefekos of Manchester, NH, and they resided at their Pleasant St home in Littleton. She enjoyed spending time with her sister, Loretta, cooking, baking, and shopping. Family gatherings were also very important to her.

Mary was predeceased by her brother, Michael, sister, Lorretta and husband, Christo in 2017. She is survived by her son, Evangelos (Lonnie), his wife Ruthanne and their children, Alexandra (Lexie) and Nicholas (Nick) Stefekos of Bedford, NH. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 28th at 10:00AM at St. Rose of Lima Church in Littleton with Father Ryan Amazeen officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
