Mary A. Stoddard

Mary A. (Pert) Stoddard, 75, formerly of 60 Riverfront Dr, Manchester, NH died December 4, 2001 at 300 Pleasant Street in Concord, NH. She was born in Sedgewick, ME on May 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Warren and Florence (Young) Pert, Sr., and had resided for the past 35 years in Manchester. She was a graduate of the Maine General Hospital Nursing School in 1948 and was a practicing RN for over 40 years. For over 20 years, she had been employed by Elliot Hospital in Manchester. She was an avid gardener. She was the widow of Willard J. Stoddard, her husband of 52 years, who died in 1999. Family memebers include three sons, James Stoddard of Manchester, NH, Jon Stoddard of Chaffee, NY and Perry Stoddard of Manchester, NH; three daughters, Jo A. McDonald of Burlington, VT, Linda Mullen of Manchester, NH and Mrs. Dave (Sue) Joseph of Bedford, NH; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Warren Pert, Jr., of Nashua, NH; a sister, Nancy Sherman of Gravenhust, Ontario and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Thursday evening from 6 to 7 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 7.
