MARYLOUISA MAY PARKER
LITTLETON, NH -- MaryLouisa May Parker entered into The Lords care on May 14, 2009 at the Littleton Regional Hospital following a recent illness.
May was born in Waban, Massachusetts on Groundhog Day, February 2, 1914, a daughter of Ethel Viola Young and Willard H. Loud, Sr. She attended Newton schools and graduated from Newton High in 1931.
May married John E. Parker, Jr. on April 23, 1949. She was an avid golfer and bowler and thoroughly enjoyed gardening. She worked 17 years for her father at Stimpson Paper Co. in Boston before she married. After her marriage, May worked for LaSalle Jr. College, in Auburndale, MA and for the counseling program there under Dr. Don Manthei until 1989. She was a member of The Union Church in Waban, until she moved to Littleton, New Hampshire in 1998. Since then she has been a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. May was a resident of The Riverglen House in Littleton, since January, 2008.
May was predeceased by her loving husband, John, in 1972; sisters, Dorothy H. Sturdevant, Gertrude F. Loud, and brother, Willard H. (Bill) Loud, Jr. May is survived by her children, Dorothy E. (Debbie) Alberini and husband, Richard, of Littleton, NH and David Earle Parker, Sr. of Miami, FL and her sister-in-law, Mary Nelson Loud, of Wellesley, MA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: David & Emily Alberini , Stephen & Emshika Alberini , and John Alberini all of Littleton, NH; and Elena & Esteban Acosta , Caroline E. Parker, David E. Parker, Jr. and Stephany N. Parker all of Miami, FLA. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Emma Alberini, of Twin Mountain, NH; Tyler Alberini and Parker Alberini, both of Littleton, NH. Surviving nieces and nephews include: Charlie and Connie Andrews of Reston, VA., Caroline Parker Allen of Middlebury, VT, Catherine Andrews of Burlington, VT., Cynthia & John Rice of S. Portland, ME. , Philip & Jennifer Loud of Ann Arbor, MI, Phyllis & Jim Brown of Chatham, NJ. , Tom & Rita Clough, of Glenville, PA, Charlotte & Frank Klein of Carlisle, PA., and Margaret & Ed Boner of Seven Valleys, PA.
SERVICES -- A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Littleton, NH on June 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sam Newton officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.
