Matthew C. Luzzi

Matthew Charles Luzzi, 65, of Manchester, passed away at the Jack Burns Center in Lebanon after a short battle with cancer with his loving family by his side.

He was born on January 7, 1960, in Glen Ridge, NJ, the son of the late Daniel and Lorraine (Nadolski) Luzzi. He grew up in Caldwell, NJ where he went to Saint Aloysius and James Caldwell High School. He also attended UMass Amherst College. During his youth he was an altar boy and very active in the Boy Scouts and Order of the Arrow. Matt enjoyed working in the garden and sharing his harvest with his family. He was an excellent cook, and he enjoyed hosting others and preparing holiday meals for his family. Matt also enjoyed astronomy and spending his time with Lola the cat. He will be remembered by his laugh and the meals we shared.

Family members include his two daughters, Erica Hacker and her husband Kyle; Megan Luzzi and her longtime partner Justin Struglinski; his son, Christopher Luzzi and his wife Katie; two step-sons Brian Morrissey and his wife Etiene and Evan Morrissey and his wife Natasha; three grandchildren, Maggie, Owen, and Harper; his sister, Maribeth Luzzi Pisano and her husband Tony; a brother, Mark Luzzi; and two nephews, Michael Pisano and Joseph Pisano; and his former wife Cheryl Parker – Perry.
