Matthew S. O'Malley, 82, of Bedford, New Hampshire, passed away on July 27, 2026. Born in Boston, MA on November 2, 1943, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Gately) O’Malley.

Matthew proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His service was recognized with numerous military decorations, including the Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Though Matthew leaves behind no known immediate family, his life and service will not be forgotten. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.

All are welcome to attend and join in honoring Matthew's life and military service. The Standing with Fallen Comrades organization has been invited to participate, and the Phaneuf Family Foundation is helping to ensure he receives a dignified farewell.
