Matthew Lee Spakoski

Matthew Lee Spakoski, born April 28, 1969, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2022.

Matthew, known by many as Matty, loved life. He loved to travel and would always make friends wherever he landed. Matthew was most happy cooking fancy meals for friends and family. He traveled many places always finding some kind of antique that he would bring home to keep or sell for someone else to enjoy. His most recent job was working for the Manchester Post Office but he still continued to enjoy his antiques.

Growing up he was always saving any animal that was injured or just needed a home; from baby squirrels to lost cats his heart had so much love for those animals. His most treasured pets were his birds; especially his parrot, Draz. Everyone knew him because of the bird on his shoulder. His big smile, boisterous laugh, and compassion will be greatly missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Matthew is survived by his father Ronald Spakoski, his mother Sandra Spakoski, his sister Laurie Mercier, his brother-in-law David Mercier, nieces Virginia Mercier and Evelyn Mercier and nephew Samuel Mercier as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be greatly missed by many friends.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be on Sunday February 13th from 1-5pm at Phanuef Funeral Home and Crematorium in Manchester. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, his family is asking for donations to The Manchester Animal Shelter.
