Maureen Frances (Cullen) Buckley, 78, of Concord passed away peacefully in the comfort and familiarity of her home on September 17, 2015. She was surrounded by loving family.
Maureen was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 13, 1936 to John and Violet (Jones) Cullen. She was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Midwood High School. In her early years, she worked for Metropolitan Life and Better Homes & Gardens. After beginning a family of her own, Maureen transitioned to become a homemaker and also provided in-home childcare to other families. In her spare time, Maureen enjoyed having her hands in the soil, growing delicious vegetables and beautiful flowers. She also spent time crafting, doing needlepoint and making homemade Christmas ornaments. She was a lover of animals of all kinds, often with multiple pets running around the house, and she had an amazing gift with nursing injured birds back to health. She was a deeply loving and caring woman, a proud grandmother, and a believer that everything in life had its place.
