Maurice G. Blanchet

Maurice G. Blanchet, 97, of Manchester, passed away peacefully in his home on February 6, 2022. He is the beloved husband of Gertrude (Dube) Blanchet with whom he shared 73 years of marriage.

Maurice was born in Quebec, Canada on November 12, 1924 to Donat and Alice (Drolet) Blanchette. Maurice had spent the last 57 years living in the United States and was very proud to be an American. When he was sworn in as a US Citizen, his photo, along with a few others, made the front page of the Union Leader. He was a very kind, generous, and loving person who was trusted and well-liked by all who met him. He will be greatly missed.

Along with his wife Gertrude, Maurice is survived by his daughter Chantal Clark and her husband Ron of Hampton, son Pierre Blanchet and his partner Laurie Dugree of Manchester, a granddaughter Gabrielle Clark and her husband Stefan Link of California, and a great granddaughter Solène Link.

Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately.
