Moe Gilman

December 1, 1955 — February 28, 2023

Manchester, NH

Maurice A. Gilman Jr, “Moe,” 67, of Manchester, NH, passed away on February 28th, 2023 after a long battle with cancer with loving family at his side. HE was born on December 1st, 1955 to the late Maurice Gilman Sr. and Shirley (Lazotte) Gilman.

Moe was born and raised in Manchester, NH and lived there for much of his life where he could be close to the family he loved so much. A man of unwavering dedication and strong work ethic, Moe dedicated himself to whatever he put his mind to. In his younger years he served in the US Army and later worked as a Truck Driver.

When he wasn’t working, Moe always made time for his family, whom he loved more than anything in the world. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and great-uncle who always made sure to prioritize his family's needs above his own. His family remembers him as a loyal, dedicated and loving man who would always go out of his way to help them in any way he could.

When not working or spending time with his family, Moe loved to indulge in his hobbies. He was an avid collector of coins, lighters, and various knick-knacks. He was also a big fan of John Wayne movies and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, often doing so to unwind after a long day at work. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for family and hobbies will be cherished forever.

Maurice has joined his parents, his sister Karen Racine and his brother-in-law Tim Lesnick in heaven. He is survived by his brother Mark Gilman; brother Michael Gilman; sister Frances Lesnick; nieces Amy Godbout & Angela Welch; nephews Eric Wade & Jonathan Gilman; as well as many extended family members and friends.
