Maurice I. Janelle, 82, of 433 West Tarton Boulevard, Port Charlotte, Florida, died at his home May 10, 2004. He was born in Manchester, NH on February 28, 1922, the son of Romeo and Adrienne (Payeur) Janelle and moved to Florida in 1985. Maurice was a W.W. II Air Force Veteran. He was an engineer for Sears with 22 years of service. Mr. Janelle belonged to the American Legion Post # 110 of Florida. He enjoyed fishing, boating and woodworking. He was a past parishioner of St. Edmond Church. Family members include his wife Pauline (Gagne) Janelle of Port Charlotte, Florida, a son, Paul Janelle of Weare, NH, a daughter Louise Guarino of Boxford, MA., six grandchildren, a brother Romeo L. “Junior” Janelle of Savannah, Georgia, two sisters, Lucille Cote of San Jose, CA. and Jeanne Soucy of Parrish, Florida, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Friday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Patrick Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.
