MAURICE R. LADUKE, SR. MANCHESTER – Maurice R. LaDuke, Sr., 85, died on Sunday, August 31, 2008, at Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester. Mr. LaDuke was born on October 17, 1922, in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Forrest and Agnes (Landreville) LaDuke, Sr. He was one of 6 brothers and sisters. Mr. LaDuke was a life long resident of Manchester. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps, during World War II, in the Pacific, where he fought on several islands, including; Guam and Iwo Jima. Mr. LaDuke was employed as a truck mechanic for Hemmingway Motor Freight. He then worked at Ryder Truck Rental & Leasing until his retirement. He enjoyed his retirement years, by spending time doing wood working. Members of his family include; his wife of 65 years, Pauline M. (Hebert) LaDuke, of Manchester; 1 son, Maurice LaDuke, Jr., of Windham, NH; 2 daughters, Carol Ann LaDuke, of Wauwatosa, WI; Shea Morgan, formerly Sue Dager, of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Forrest LaDuke, Jr., of Montana; and several nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday, September 4, from 4 - 8 P.M., at The Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi, in Litchfield. Committal prayers, military honors and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to NH Association for the Blind, 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301, in memory of Maurice R. LaDuke, Sr.
