Maurice R Montminy, Sr.

Maurice R. Montminy, Sr., 73, of Londonderry, formerly of Gilford and Manchester, passed away at his residence on December 18, 2022.

He was born in Manchester on September 11, 1949, the son of the late Wilfred and Madeline (Lafond) Montminy. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He owned and operated Montminy Automotive for many years until his retirement. Prior to that, he had worked for Bob’s Texico and Kelly St. Garage. He loved ballroom dancing and was a dance instructor at Broadway North in Belmont. He was also an avid golfer. He is joining his best friend Russ to cause mischief in heaven! 

Family members include his wife, Therese (Pepin) Montminy; a son, Maurice Montminy, Jr. and his wife Irene of Londonderry; a daughter, Christine McDonald of Sandown; three grandchildren, Michael Montminy, Joscelyn McDonald, and Jasmine McDonald; a brother, Gerald Montminy of Manchester; three sisters, Lucille Shea of Manchester, Debbie Lemay of Hooksett, and Luanne Raymond of Merrimack; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Friday, December 23^rd from 10:00 to 11:00 with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00. Committal services with inurnment in Mt. Calvary cemetery columbarium will follow.
