Maurice R. Veilleux, 72, of 233 Notre Dame Avenue, died September 5, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on July 15, 1932, the son of Simeon and Georgianna (Grondin) Veilleux and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He had worked at J.F. McElwain for twenty years and later worked for Associated Grocers and St. Anselms College. He retired from Hermsdorf Manufacturing as a cabinetmaker. He was a parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. Mr. Veilleux enjoyed playing cards, traveling with his wife and going to casinos. Family members include his wife of 48 years, Annette (Gosselin) Veilleux; five sons, Robert Veilleux of Hooksett, Paul Veilleux of Anchorage, Alaska, Donald Veilleux and Jean Veilleux, both of Manchester and Normand Veilleux of Manlius, NY; eleven grandchildren; seven sisters, Rose Lamy, Cecile Lamy, Millie Pare, Annette Fournier, Eva Dionne, Vi Gardner and Doris Moreau, all of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
