Melissa M. Blake, 48, of Dummerston, VT passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born in Littleton, NH on October 13, 1965, the daughter of the late Merton, Jr. and Donna (Lemay) Edney.

Melissa was educated in the Littleton school system. She recently was attending Baker College working on her Associates Degree and worked as a farm hand at Stoneholm Farm until her illness. She was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed camping, Disneyworld, participating in CB tag, and panda's. Melissa's proudest and greatest achievement in life was her family and friends. She loved all of them unconditionally and would spend every moment she could with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Blake of Dummerston; seven daughters, Kelly J. Call and her husband Timothy of W. Brattleboro, Jennifer R. Armstrong and her husband Emelilo of Dummerston, Carrie A. Blake of Rensselaer, NY, Christine E. Blake of W. Brattleboro; Alissa J. Schoebel of NH, Syndyl L. Jean of Ayer, MA, and Shantyl Guile of CA; a son, Robert Page of NY; a sister, Dr. Terri Rutzen and her husband Scott of MI; five grandchildren, Ryan T. Call, Kassidy Call, Michael T. Call, Harper R. Armstrong, and Asa L. Heath; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Norman Blake to help with funeral expenses. Please mail checks to Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home, 57 High Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301.
