Melissa Ann McGuire

Melissa Ann McGuire, 69, of Manchester, passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was born on June 6, 1953, in Florala, AL, the daughter of the late Martin McGuire and the late Doris Mae (Martin) Emra.

She attended Memorial High School in Manchester (Class of '71). As a young adult, she worked primarily for insurance companies as an agent and in restaurants. Later, she owned her own business as a child photographer. Melissa had a knack and a good eye with photography and enjoyed singing and playing guitar. She will be remembered for her quick-witted humor and ability to make others laugh.

She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Bunie, and later remarried, Martin Koester.

She is survived by her children, Michael Bunie of Merrimack, NH and Amanda McGuire of Manchester, NH; granddaughters, Adelynne Bunie and Victoria Grace Peters; sister, Martha MacArthur of Lisbon, NH; and brother, Michael Emra of Crocker, MO. In addition to her parents, Melissa was predeceased by her brothers, Gary Anderson and Robert Emra Jr.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 2:00-3:00PM with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Family and friends are invited to attend. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, where Melissa will be laid to rest with her late brother, Gary.
