Melissa A. Nelson

Melissa Ann Nelson, 71, of Manchester, passed away on September 3, 2025 after a long illness.

Melissa was born in Manchester on November 13, 1953, the daughter of Lucille (Martel) and Paul Dumas and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She worked her entire career in commercial insurance, mainly as an underwriter.

Melissa loved gardening, spending time with family and friends, cuddling with her cat, Willow, and decorating her home for various holidays.

Family members include siblings, Diane Privey, Wayne Dumas (deceased), Frederick Dumas deceased), Susan LaRochelle, Annette Minarcin and Robert Dumas (deceased) along with her nieces, nephew, and cousins.

A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium in Manchester from 10-12 with a buffet lunch from 12-2 immediately following.
