Micaela Elena Ginares, 95, of Manchester died April 3, 2005 at Maple Leaf Health Care following a period of declining health. Mrs. Ginares was born in Uruguay on September 29, 1909 the daughter of the late Pedro and Ignacia (Hernandez) Perez. She had been a Manchester resident since 1972 when she and her husband moved from Uruguay to be close to their children. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and watching television. She adored her granddaughters and great grandchildren and loved spending time with them playing games. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Rudecindo S. Ginares. Family members include; two daughters, Maria Selva Ituarte and Maria del Carmen Peratto both of Manchester; four granddaughters; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Juana Perez of Uruguay; and many nieces and nephews of Uruguay. In her life: Mrs. Ginares had four loving grandchildren, Gabriela Walder, Elena Peratto, Rossana Goding and Nancy Morin. She was predeceased by three sisters and four brothers. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 5th from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 6th at 10:00 AM at St. Augustin Church with burial to follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
