Michael Bump

Michael Edward Bump, 35 years old, died suddenly March 1st, 2025 in Manchester, New Hampshire. Michael was born on June 28, 1989 in Warwick, New York. He was the son of Dr. Christopher J. Bump, Cathryn Regina Bump and stepson to Dawn Bump.

Michael attended Sussex Vo-tech where he specialized in welding fabrication and metal artwork. Upon completion of his high school and vocational training he joined the US Navy and served for 5 years where he specialized as the ships chief gunner mate. Upon completion of his military service Michael worked in metal fabrication and was employed by DDA Services, Inc. where he continued his skill in metal fabrication.

Michael enjoyed being close to and in nature. He hiked the Appalachian trail after his time in the Navy and continued to enjoy time hiking especially walks with Layla, his loving rescued pitty. Michael always loved exploring the mysteries of creation and the universe. He also always enjoyed having a "project" vehicle to work on!

Michael is survived by his loving partner Eva Liptak, his parents, his siblings: Josiah, Shawn, Canaan, his sister in law Melanie, and Cassie along with his nephews Lucas and Eli and niece Madelyne.

Michael is predeceased by his beloved Layla and his grandmother June Bulger and his nephew Aidan Bump.

A gathering will be held March 7th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, with a service following from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. 03102. Casual attire and especially blue jeans are preferred attire. Family and friends are invited to attend.
