Michael Lee DeWitt

Michael L. DeWitt of Manchester passed away at home on July 8, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 17, 1945 in East Alton, Illinois, son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Beckette) DeWitt.

Michael was a Veteran of the US Navy serving aboard the USS Stickell (DD-888) and later worked as an Engineer for Ametek Aerospace for over 20 years.

Beloved husband of the late Rachel (Boucher) DeWitt. Loving father of Christopher DeWitt and his wife Sharon of Candia, Jonathan DeWitt and his wife Nicole of Bedford and the late Michael L. DeWitt II who died in 1975. Devoted Papa of Dylan and Mason DeWitt. Dear brother of Robert DeWitt, Judy Scott and the late James DeWitt. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave. Manchester on Friday, July 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Michael's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 12th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
