Michael J. Hannaford

MICHAEL J. HANNAFORD, SR. Michael J. Hannaford, Sr., 47, of Manchester, NH, died March 26, 2006, at his home. Mr. Hannaford was born on January 15, 1959, in Manchester, the son of Lorraine Herling. He was a life long resident of Manchester. Mr. Hannaford was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. He was a member of the British American Club. He enjoyed billiards, darts, and cribbage. Members of his family in addition to his mother include, his stepfather, Fred Herling, of Manchester; his maternal grandparents, Chuck & Alice Emery of Hooksett; 2 sons, Michael J. Hannaford, Jr., of Claremont, NH; Tarrance J. Hannaford, of Manchester; 2 daughters, Karen Martin of Manchester; Sarah Baxley, of Kissimmee, FL; 3 grandsons, 3 brothers, Kevin Meekins, John Herling, Dennis Herling, all of Manchester, 2 sisters, Donna Weingart, of Hooksett, NH; Carol Meekins, of Derry, NH; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Hannaford was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother, and was very loyal to all of his friends. A memorial reception will be Thursday, from 7 – 8 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home Chapel, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester, followed by a memorial service at 8 P.M. A trust fund in memory of Michael J. Hannaford has been set up to defray funeral expenses.
