Michael Houlihan, 83, died January 22, 2005 at Carlyle Place in Bedford, NH after a period of declining health. Born November 1, 1921, in Albany, NY he was the youngest of six children of John and Anna Houlihan. Following his service in WW II, Michael married Ann Schleck in 1947 and they made their home in Colonie, NY. They had one son, Robert, with whom they shared their love of golf, the beach and the RED SOX. Michael worked as a truck dispatcher for Shell Oil Company with over 25 years of service in Albany NY and later in Hartford, Ct. Upon retirement, he relocated to Indigo Lakes in Daytona Beach where they were active in the golf community and developed a n extensive social group that enjoyed not only golf, but bridge, cocktail parties, and group tours around the world. Michael is survived by his wife Ann Nancy (Schleck) Houlihan of 57 years, one son, Robert Houlihan of Manchester; and two grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine Lasher and Bridie Griffin of Albany NY, Mary Kenney of Chambersburg, PA, and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
