Michael J. Moynihan, 33, of Hooksett NH, passed away before his time on January 9, 2020. Born on March 22, 1986 to Kevin & Diane (Calkins) Moynihan, Michael made family wherever he went, and will be dearly missed by his extensive friends and family across the country.
Michael was truly one of a kind. Those that had the privilege of knowing him will have countless memories of his humor, intelligence, loyalty to those he loved, and his passion for adventure and good times. Michael was also a wealth of knowledge, having loved reading, writing and everything about history, he always had the answer when you needed it, and the answers you didn't need as well. His thirst for knowledge allowed him to excel at anything he applied his mind to, the latest venture being electrical engineering, with potential plans of pursuing a career in chemistry in the future as well.
Michael was someone who could truly light up the darkest room and lift the spirits of those around him. With unbounded loyalty to those he loved, Michael always carved out time to spend with friends, having been known to drop what he was doing for any adventure, big or small. Michael loved to travel and be outdoors, especially in New Hampshire, where he would camp and kayak with friends, drink exotic beers by the water and learn about the natural wildlife of the area. Most of all, Michael loved being with close friends and family, as anyone who could call Michael a friend knew they had a friend for life. Michael's family cannot thank those enough who donated so generously towards his final arrangements.
Michael is survived by his parents Kevin & Diane Moynihan; brother Joshua Moynihan, brother Steven Moynihan, Sister Steph Moynihan; brother Jason Lavalee; as well as a wide array of incredibly close friends.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Friday, January 17th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. Manchester NH.
