Michael B. Shattuck, 32, of Hampton, a beloved son, brother, and friend to many, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2023. Michael was born on August 15, 1990 in Nashua, New Hampshire to Brad and Michelle (Gibbs) Shattuck and spent his life spreading joy and love to everyone he met.
Michael was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to entertain. He was the life of the party and always had a way of making those around him laugh and feel comfortable. Michael had a heart of gold and loved to help others, especially when it came to recovery. Michael's own struggle with addiction was well-known, but he proudly celebrated 13 months of sobriety this month. He used his own experience to help countless others who were struggling with addiction and saved many lives through his efforts. He was truly an inspiration to so many.
Not only was Michael gifted in his ability to help others, he was also a natural at anything he tried to do. He had a passion for life and loved to try new things, which he was instantly good at. Whether it was a new hobby, a new job, or a new adventure, Michael approached everything with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Michael was an avid nature lover and worked as a landscaper for Kenyon Lawn for the past year.
Michael's sudden passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew him. His infectious smile, generous spirit, and kind heart will be deeply missed. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the good work he did during his time with us.
Among hundreds of friends, Michael is survived by his parents, Brad and Michelle Shattuck of Milford; his two children, Daija Miller and Anthony Shattuck; siblings, Nichole Gibbs of Hampton, Mariah Shattuck of Seabrook and her partner and longtime friend of Michael, Jacob O'Loughlin, and Matthew Shattuck of Raymond; nieces and nephews, Sophia Dougherty, Jonah Johnstone, Chase Michael Brad Shattuck, and Felisha Genovese; grandparents, Elaine and Angel Velazquez; his best friend Andrew Jackman; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
