Michael S. Sweet

Michael Scott Sweet of Manchester, New Hampshire passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the age of 53 due to ongoing health complications.

He was born to parents Richard and Evelyn Sweet, on November 18, 1968, in Springfield, Vermont.

Mike attended Springfield High School before graduating from Western New England College with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to graduate from Franklin Pierce University with an MBA. He worked for multiple engineering companies throughout his career but was most recently employed at L3Harris as a Quality Engineer.

Mike is survived by his children; Cameron Sweet, 30, of Worcester, Massachusetts, Bailey Sweet, 25, of Whitinsville, Massachusetts, and Zachary Sweet, 10, of Hillsborough, New Hampshire, his mother, Evelyn Sweet; his father, Richard Sweet, his stepmother, Louise Sweet; and his sister, Stacy Olmstead.

Mike can be most remembered as an avid fan of all thing’s sports. His love for sports was shown in many aspects of his life; through playing, coaching, attending his children’s sporting events, and cheering on any of the Boston teams.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 28th from 12:00-2:00pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
