Michael Vougias

Michael Vougias, 21, 261 Merrimack Street, Manchester, NH died in a boating accident on June 6, 2003. He was born in Manchester, NH on March 13, 1982, the son of Photios and Yiannoula "Joanna" (Savvas) Vougias and had been a resident of Manchester. Michael was a seminarian at Helenic College of the Holy Cross Theological Greek Orthodox School. He was an altar boy for St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was very involved with church functions. Family members include his parents of Manchester, two brothers, Pheofilos Vougias and his wife Angela of Manchester and Vasilios Vougias and his wife Christina of Goffstown, two nieces Joanna and Angelina Vougias, of Manchester, a nephew Photios Vougias of Manchester, his Godfather, Theodore Savvas of Haverhill, Ma., several aunts, uncles and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union, Friday evening from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral will be on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the funeral home and the service will be at noon in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. At the family's request, please omit flowers.
