Michelle Tanguay

Michelle L. (Lessard) Tanguay, 42, of Boscawen, NH, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the Hospice House in Concord, NH after a lengthy battle against Ovarian cancer that she fought with positivity, grace, and her unforgettable smile.


She was born July 21, 1974 in Claremont, NH, the daughter of Phillip "Mike" Lessard and Marlene "Marty" (Foisy) Lessard of Charlestown, NH. Growing up she was active in dance and sports, she enjoyed family trips and was blessed with a close family, making endless memories with her aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.


Michelle attended Fall Mountain Regional High School in Langdon, NH where she was a conscientious student and avid athlete, participating in track, softball and basketball, but excelling as a standout and leader on the soccer field. She graduated High School in 1992 and opted to attend Russell Sage College of Troy, NY. There she continued to fulfill her soccer dreams and also attained her bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy in 1996.


The years that followed took her to Florida and then back to NH where she ultimately landed in Concord. On October 9, 1999, she was united in marriage to William Tanguay whom she had met in 1997 and soon thereafter they moved to Boscawen, NH. In 2003, Michelle and Bill were blessed with twin daughters, Rhiley and Morgan.


Michelle loved being outdoors, especially at the ocean and she had a superb eye for interior design and photography, but it was her love of people coupled with her passion for health and fitness, that drove her to become a successful business owner in 2013. Michelle thrived on encouraging others to reach their potential and that is what she did, inspiring an incredible community of friends...who also happened to be her clients. In her spare time, you could always find Michelle cheering on her daughters at a field or gym around New England or, spending precious time with family and friends who meant so much to her.


She is survived by her husband William, and daughters Rhiley and Morgan of Boscawen; parents "Mike" and "Marty" Lessard of Charlestown, NH; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous other beloved family and friends.


Memorial services will be held Friday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. in the Centerpoint Church, Concord, NH, followed by a celebration of Michelle's life at the Kimball Jenkins Estate.


Michelle was a firm believer in "paying it forward", and she would love to know that those who she touched are carrying on the love, caring and encouragement that she tried to show. Within weeks prior to Michelle's passing, she was asked the three words that sum up what is important in life; her response..."Courage, Strength and Balance".
