Milo F, Knapp, SR., 56 of Harrisville, NH passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Townshend, VT on April 26, 1960; the son of the late Leon E. Knapp, Sr. and Nancy (Rice) Powling.

Milo was educated in the Brattleboro School systems, graduating from Brattleboro High School, Class of 1978. He then went on to serve his country in the U. S. Army. He was self-employed as a Carpenter. Milo enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, tinkering on cars, animals, and riding motorcycles. He was a very hard working man and loved carpentry. In his younger years he was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout.

In addition to his father, he is predeceased by two brothers, Leon E, Knapp, Jr. in 2016 and Alonzo "Peter" Gilbert 1998.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Percy Powling of S. Newfane; a son, Milo F. Knapp, Jr. of NY; two daughters, Christina Heidrich-Aldrich of NY and Desiree Van Arkel of TX; a sister, Wannetta Powling and her husband Mark of Williamsville, VT; an Uncle, Carroll Rice of WA; four grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends.

An hour of Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Newfane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White River Junction VA Medical Center, 163 Veterans Dr. White River Junction, VT 05009 or to the Windham County Humane Society, 916 W River Rd, Brattleboro, VT 05301.
