Minerva M. Lajoie

Minerva “Minnie” M. (Wihby) Lajoie, 86, of 198 Pearl Street, died August 22, 2007 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center. She was born in Manchester on October 11, 1920, the daughter of David and Suzanne (Calil) Wihby and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She had worked for Dorson Fletcher Shoe Company for many years. She was the widow of Leo R. Lajoie who died in 1971. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking Lebanese food for her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and always had a smile to share. Minnie was also an avid Red Sox Fan. In Her Life: Family members include two sons, Robert Lajoie of Nashua and Kevin Lajoie of Concord; four grandchildren, Kerry Lajoie of CT, Sheena Lajoie of FL, Jeff Lajoie of CT and Jared Lajoie of FL; a sister, Freida Stephens of Bedford; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Thursday from 1 to 2 PM with a memorial service to follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel.
