MIRIAM ELEANOR DAINE
LITTLETON, NH Miriam Eleanor Daine, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, left her earthly body on August 23rd after a lengthily illness; ascended to heaven to have eternal life with Christ Jesus.
She was born at home in Westwood, Massachusetts on June 15, 1930, the daughter of Herbert Sturgis, Sr. and Rachael (Montgomery) Sturgis; one of nine children. Her family moved to Holliston, Massachusetts when she was five years old, where she attended school. She moved to Littleton, New Hampshire in July 1947 when she married Arnold Archie Daine; they made their home on the Monroe Road in West Littleton where they raised six children. Arnold preceded her in February 1995.
Eleanor loved to garden, crochet, knit, sew and keep her home.
She leaves behind her children, David and Debbie Daine, Evelyn Daine, Judith and Bud Foster, Nancy and Jeff Champagne, Timothy Daine all of Littleton, and Patricia and Hubey Smith of Whitefield; also numerous grand, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
SERVICES A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, located at 101 Union Street in Littleton, NH with Rev. Steve Palmer officiating.
