Muriel A. Lortie, 72, of Chester, NH passed away at the Community Hospice House surrounded by her loving family on April 15, 2021. Born in Manchester on August 5, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Adrien and Cora (Dionne) Hudon. She shared 54 years of marriage with her husband, Russell Lortie.
Muriel was raised and educated in Manchester. She and Russ raised their family in Merrimack and have resided in Chester for sixteen years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, family was paramount in Muriel's life. Her greatest passion was shopping and giving to others. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
Muriel is survived by her husband, Russell Lortie of Chester; her daughter, Cindy Albertelli and husband Paul of Chester; her sons, Keith Lortie of Merrimack, Shawn Lortie and his fiancé Michelle Porter of Merrimack; her siblings, Georgette Jobin of Arizona, Arthur Hudon and wife Madeleine of Florida. Donald Hudon and wife Lorraine of New Hampshire and Lorraine Doucet and husband Robert of Florida; six grandchildren, Nicholas Lortie, Sarah Lortie, Christian Albertelli, Kyle Albertelli, Dylan Lortie and Jessica Lortie; two great-granddaughters, Paislee and Arianna; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 21st at 11am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester. Cemetery Inurnment will follow at 12:30pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen. Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
