Muriel F. (Foulk) (Detwiler) McCambridge, 89, of 200 Alliance Way, died December 14, 2006 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 14, 1917, the daughter of Morris and Madeleine (Clement) Foulk. She grew up in Woodbury, NJ and was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier in her career, she had been a psychological social worker. She had been a resident of Ft Myers, FL for 20 years before moving to NH in 2002. She was an avid bridge player, loved to read and enjoyed knitting and needlework. She also traveled extensively. She was a lifelong volunteer; most recently she volunteered at Pearl Manor and Hillcrest Terrace, where she was also a member of the resident council. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles K. Detwiler in 1972 and by her second husband, William McCambridge in 1992. In Her Life: Family members include two sons, Charles K. Detwiler and his wife Judy of Bedford and Richard Detwiler and his wife Sandi of Sao Paulo, Brazil; seven grandchildren, Laura Detwiler of South Berwick, ME, Kate Detwiler of New York City, Susan Detwiler of Dover, Anne Detwiler of Jamaica Plains, MA, Kari Detwiler of Brooklyn, NY, Charley Detwiler of San Diego, CA and Jake Detwiler of Bedford; two great grandchildren; Nate and Sam Keene of South Berwick, ME; and several nephews and nieces. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Terrace. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hillcrest Terrance Memorial Fund, 200 Alliance Way, Manchester, NH 03102.
