MYRTLE ROSE (MOORE) CORLISS
BETHLEHEM, NH Myrtle Rose (Moore) Corliss, age 81, of 744 Brook Road, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the Concord Hospital after an ongoing battle with heart disease.
Myrtle was born on January 16, 1924 in Greenlay, Quebec, Canada, a daughter to Hamel and Etta (Ellis) Moore.
Myrtle was employed by Dominican Textile in Sherbrooke, Canada where she was a secretary for 30 plus years. She was a long time member of the VFW auxiliary. Her lifelong hobbies included playing cards, dancing, watching soaps, taking trips with her husband, cooking, and canning. She also belonged to a Curling Team in Canada. She was a devoted wife and a social butterfly. Myrtle lived in Canada most of her life until she met Alvin Corliss, marrying him on October 4, 1986.
Myrtle is survived by her husband of 20 years, Alvin Al Corliss of Bethlehem, NH; Wayne Corliss of Montague, CA; Kenneth Corliss of Littleton; Sandra Manning of Lisbon; Susan Brann of Groveton; Michael Corliss of Riverside, CA; as well as many loved nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. She was predeceased by her father, mother, brothers and sisters from Canada as well as Cheryl Clark of Littleton.
SERVICES The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2005 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, July 22nd at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephen E. Bascom, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Street Cemetery in Bethlehem.
