Nadia Maria DeLangie

Nadia Maria DeLangie, 94, of Manchester, NH, passed away on May 29, 2022. Born in Arzignano, Italy on September 2, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Zorzanello) Grigolato. She shared 57 years of marriage with her late husband Harvey J. DeLangie Jr.

Nadia was raised in Italy and moved to New Hampshire when she was 21 years old. Her early years in New Hampshire were spent working in the mills for two years. Nadia worked for over 20 years for the City of Manchester as a Clerk of the Court System prior to retirement. Nadia met her husband, Harvey, at a baseball game and together they raised three sons, John, Brian, and Jeff. Nadia was a loving and caring person and she enjoyed spending her Saturdays shopping and playing cards. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness and her smile that could light up a room.

Nadia is survived by her sons, John DeLangie Sr. and his wife Karen of Manchester, Brian DeLangie and his wife Joanne of Tega Cay, SC, and Jeff DeLangie Sr. and his wife Lisa of Manchester; her grandchildren, John DeLangie Jr. (Christy), Erin Trott (Jeremiah), Joseph DeLangie (Tiffany), Jeffrey DeLangie Jr. (Jessica), Nicholas DeLangie (Heather), Cullen DeLangie, Jason DeLangie (Mandy) and Autumn Stadtmiller (James); 14 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Nadia was predeceased by her husband, parents and her brothers and sister in Italy.

Nadia’s visitation will be held on Monday, June 6 from 3-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7 at 10AM in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Bedford, NH.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hanover Hill Nursing Home for their excellent care during the last 7 years.
