Nadine Faye Lindberg Strout, 95, of Concord, NH died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, following a lengthy period of declining health.
Nadine was born in Rumford, ME June 22, 1926, to David and Florence (Sessions) Lindberg. She was a graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford and received a Master of Theology from Bangor Theological Seminary. Nadine’s faith was center point in her life, and she was deeply passionate about sharing that faith with others. She was ordained as a United Methodist minister in the 1980s and served both the Tilton-Northfield United Methodist Church and the Gorham-West Dummer United Methodist Church as well as churches in Down East, Maine while a student. She gave generously of her time, volunteering countless hours as a 4-H group leader and youth group leader, leading Christian study groups, and teaching Sunday School as well as chairing many committees within churches she attended. She and her husband, George Strout, served as missionaries at Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. As a resident of Havenwood-Heritage Heights for the past 15 years, Nadine was active within their community and enjoyed participating in the choral group, book club and other activities with her fellow residents and friends.
Family was of the utmost importance to Nadine. She leaves behind her daughters, Sandal Keeffe and husband James of Chichester, and Nancy Schroth and husband Dan of Pittsfield; son-in-law, Peter Savelo of Concord, NH; grandchildren, Derek Lines (Anne) of Newburyport, MA, Matthew Keeffe of Weare, NH, Elizabeth (Matthew) Hall of Whitinsville, MA, and Samantha Savelo of Concord, NH; great-grandchildren, Paige, Addison, and Hayden Keeffe, Annika, Hudson, and Asher Hall, and George Lines; as well and other dear extended family members and numerous cherished friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, George Strout, daughter, Faith Savelo, and her brother, Leonard Lindberg.
