Nancy M. Ackerman

NANCY M. ACKERMAN BEDFORD - Nancy M. (Moody) Ackerman, 69, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Greenbriar Terrace, in Nashua, after suffering for over 13 years, with Alzheimer's disease. Born on July 31, 1940, in Derry, NH, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Pauline (Rock) Moody. She was a resident of Bedford for the past 23 years. Prior to this she resided in Derry, NH. Members of her family include; her husband of 31 years, Charles J. Ackerman, of Bedford, 1 son, Keith Ackerman, of Nashua; 2 daughters, Janice Berg, of Minnesota; Ann Edwards, of South Carolina; and 6 grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be Sunday, August 16, from 1 – 2 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 P.M. . The Reverend Douglas Rickard, minister of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Newfields Cemetery, in Newfields, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mrs. Ackerman.
