Nancy Hamel, 65, of Manchester died October 11, 2004, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Peterborough, NH on March 30, 1939, the daughter of the late Lionel and Beatrice (Brunell) Emond and lived most of her life in the Peterborough and Manchester area. She attemded Peterborough High School and worked many years at the Ball Bearing Company in Peterborough. Family members include three daughters; Mrs. Kelly (Hamel) Gallagher of Manchester, Mrs. Shannon Downs of Gorham, NH and Meggen Hamel of Manchester, six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. IN HER LIFE: She loved her six grandchildren; Kayla Gallagher, Lena Stoklosa and Christopher Hamel all of Manchester, Jay Singarella, Julie and Nikki Downs, all of Gorham, NH and her adopted daughter Robin Frost and her children, Justin, Sheldon, Charlene, September and Katie, all of Manchester. Mrs. Hamel was predeceased by her brother, Lionel Emond, Jr., and her beloved son-in-law, Michael Downs. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are welcomed to a memorial reception at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Friday evening from 6 to 7 with the eulogy and services immediately following.
