Nancy M. Long

Our beloved mother, Nancy May Long, of Alstead, NH, passed away at her residence on February 21, 2025, with her family at her side.

She was born in Bellows Falls, VT on February 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Carl and Gladys (Delano) Long. She was a United States Air Force Veteran. She has worked as an administrator for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and retired from the United States Department of Agriculture. 

Her adventurous and independent spirit was always an inspiration to all who knew her. She enjoyed traveling across the US and Puerto Rico. Other enjoyments were music, books, cooking, antiques and shopping. She was a big animal lover. Children were always drawn to her friendly and loving nature.

She is survived by three daughters, Angelina Jaques and her husband Fred of Israel, Marsha Boulia and her husband Chris of Weare, and Crystal Gonzalez of MO; a son, Miquel Gonzalez of MO; and Suzie Landers whom she loved as her own; seven grandchildren, Erica (Matt) Reiche, Caleb Jaques, Levi Jaques, Crisanne (Cade) Kapalski, Cameron Martinez, Curtis Martinez and Nina (Tony) Lazarro; nine great grandchlidren, Shoshanah, Eliav, Daniel, Ariel and Shlomo Reiche, Celeste Coleman, Charlotte Kapalski, Anthony and Cooper Lazarro; and nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Carmen Aurora; her sisters Ethel, Alice and June, her brothers Bobby and Danny. She is the last of all her siblings.
