Nancy
Sliwerski
March 29, 1932 – February 28, 2026
Nancy L. Sliwerski (Minns), 94, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and devotion. She was born on March 29, 1932, in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, to the late George and Nancy Minns. Nancy held a lifelong love for her homeland of England and often reflected fondly on her childhood growing up in the English countryside with her family.
Nancy met her beloved husband, Henry L. Sliwerski Sr, while he was stationed in England with the United States Air Force. Together they built a life centered on family, raising nine children with care, strength, and unwavering dedication. Nancy took great pride in being a stay-at-home mother, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, especially during the holidays, when her talent for decorating brought joy to all who visited.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Henry L. Sliwerski; her sons, Stephen R. Sliwerski and John V. Sliwerski; her grandson, Henry L. Sliwerski III; her sister, Joan Crane; and her brother, George Minns. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Wendy Michaud of Allenstown; Sandi (Stephen) Monier of Goffstown; Henry (Heidi) Sliwerski Jr. of Manchester; Susan (Marc) Phillips of Weare; Gary (Melissa) Sliwerski of Manchester; Nancy Sliwerski of Deerfield; and Stacey Greenberg of Manchester. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Brenda Sliwerski of Manchester and Lori (Andy) Lyman of Loudon, as well as extended family members Rosina Sutton of England, Daphne Ferguson of Connecticut, and Marlene Topa of Keene, New Hampshire.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her family. She was especially proud of her 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. She delighted in spoiling them with thoughtful keepsakes, baking cookies, and sharing in crafts and special moments that created lasting memories.
In her free time, Nancy enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, knitting, and collecting treasured items. Her home was a reflection of her creativity, warmth, and love of tradition.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Visiting Angels, especially her devoted caregivers Barbara and Janice, and to the Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice for their compassionate care during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elliot Visiting Nurses Association, in care of Hospice. Nancy will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the countless lives she touched.
