NED JOSEPH HOBERT
LITTLETON --- Ned J. Hobert, 98 of 46 Saranac Street, Littleton, died December 29th at the Littleton Regional Hospital.
Ned was born a son to Kenin and Rose (John) Hobert on April 3, 1904 in Fort Kent, Maine and attended schools in Fort Kent. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
He was employed at the Saranac Glove Company for 19 years prior to opening Hoberts Market, which he and his brother, Dan, operated for several years before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, the VFW, St. Rose of Lima Church.
Surviving family members include five sisters; Cecelia Hobert of West Hartford, CT; Nellie Tash of North Adams, MA; Amelia Hobert of Littleton, NH; Julia Hobert of Littleton, NH; and Anna Hobert of West Hartford, CT. One brother and one sister predeceased him.
SERVICES --- The family will receive friends on Monday, December 30th at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union St., Littleton from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31st at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Dan Sinibaldi as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Rose Cemetery in Littleton.
