Nelson Gabriel Ramos Silva, 23, of Derry, NH, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, January 27th, 2017. Born in Manchester, NH, on May 18, 1993, he is the loving son of Helena Ramos-Silva and Ruben Cruz Silva.
In addition to his life-long love for listening to music, Nelson is a very talented musician and a true virtuoso who is self-taught on many instruments, as well as in the art of composing music. His favorite place is Portugal, where he spends every summer visiting family and embracing the simplicity of life and culture, as well as spending time with his grandmothers.. Nelson has the ability to make you laugh effortlessly and has a tendency to tease, especially his sister, and give out funny nicknames. He is sweet and has a heart of gold. He is the kind of person who will go the extra mile to help others and make them happy. His smile always lights up the room. The relationship he has with his friends is a very carefree, humorous, timeless inseparability. He had a real talent and enjoyment in detailed cleaning.
Nelson is predeceased by his grandfathers, Marcial Misca and Antonio Bernadeth Silva and his Uncles, Joe Ribeiro and Domingos Lourenco. He leaves behind his parents, Helena Ramos-Silva and Ruben Cruz Silva; his sister, Adriana Monica Ramos Silva; his brother, Daniel Alexander Ramos Silva; his grandmothers, Clara Carlos and Madalena Pedra; many Aunts and Uncles, including Fernanda, Vital, Rocio, Lilixa, Karen, Juan, Paula, Carlos, Margarita, Jorge, Adriana, Helyn, Tio To, Joceline, Laurinda, Tio Ze, and Goretti; many cousins, including Sara-Patricia, Sara-Meream, Carolina, Julie, Pauline, Daniela, Bernardo, Leandra, Nisa, Iris, Rafael, Rodney, Vivi, Alejandro, Nicole, Ricky, Beto, Jenn, Jon, John, Jess, Andre, Richard, Erik, Neu, Manuel, Jose, Monica, Sandra, Marcia, Isabel, Valerie, Olivia, Danni-lynn, and Eric; serveral nieces and nephews, including Mia, Layla, Aubrey, Gavin, and Audrina; as well as many friends. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
SERVICES: Nelson's visitation will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, NH, on Thursday, February 2nd from 4-8pm. Family and friends are invited to attend.
