OBITUARY NOTICE
NICHOLAS J. MIGLIACCIO
Nicholas J. Migliaccio, 77, of Bedford, NH, died on July 4 at Bedford Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. Born in Long Branch, NJ son of the late Antonio and Maria Migliaccio, he was predeceased by his wife Patricia (McQuaid) Migliaccio.
Nick resided in Connecticut for over 30 years during which time he worked for Connecticut General and later co-founded and owned Power Systems, Inc. from which he retired. During his early career, Nick received the Apollo Achievement Award as a dedicated team member who contributed to a successful Apollo 11 lunar landing mission in July 1969.
Nick was a generous and kind person who indelibly touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Particularly in his later years, he could not fully comprehend the impact he left on those who came in contact with him. He loved the Yankees, classic cars, dining out, and golfing.
He is survived by his daughter Kristen Migliaccio-Walle and her husband Gabriel Walle of Hollis, NH, his daughter Susan Dunn of Lincroft, NJ, his son Nicholas J. Migliaccio Jr. and his wife Deborah of Lincroft, NJ and a son Blake Migliaccio of Leonardo, NJ. He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Kathleen Migliaccio of West Long Branch, NJ and James and Mae Migliaccio of West Long Branch, NJ and his mother-in-law Margaret R. McQuaid of Tinton Falls, NJ; and predeceased by a brother, Joseph Migliaccio, and sister and brother-in-law, Nevasse and John Fragale. He leaves nine grandchildren, Sofia Walle, Annalise Walle, Nicholas R. Migliaccio, Casey Dunn, Kyle Dunn, Sheena Migliaccio, Tara Migliaccio, Samantha Migliaccio, and Alexis Migliaccio. Nick also leaves many loving nieces and nephews and extended family.
A private burial for immediate family will be held at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford, CT.
