Nickolas DeRossi, 66, of 1465 Hooksett Rd, Hooksett, died May 30, 2001 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Tinos, Greece on August 13, 1934, the son of Louis and Elli DeRossi and first came to the Manchester area in 1957. Before retiring in 1992, he worked for the Department of Defense and had worked assignments in Morocco, Germany, Greece, Ft Knox, KY and Washington, DC. He was predeceased by a daughter, Veronica DeRossi and a son, Roberto DeRossi. Family member include his wife, Lee (Vasiliou) DeRossi; his mother of Springfield, MA; three sons, Charles DeRossi of Londonderry, Rick DeRossi of Manchester and Nickolas DeRossi of Hooksett; a daughter, Caryn DeRossi of Manchester; four grandchildren; his ex-wife and close friend, Mariana (Tonas) DeRossi of Manchester; two brothers, Joseph DeRossi of TX and John DeRossi of New York City, NY; a sister, Georgette Laias of Springfield, MA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 and on Friday morning from 10 to 12, with a funeral service following the funeral home chapel at 12.
