Nola M. Ransom

Nola M. (Roy) Ransom passed away peacefully at the age of 80, on October 9th, 2024 after a period of declining health. 

Born on March 15th, 1944, Nola was the daughter of Edward and Adrienne (Charland) Roy. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH. 

Prior to her retirement, Nola dedicated her career to serving others as a bus driver for Easter Seals. Her caring and friendly nature made her a beloved figure among her passengers and colleagues. 

She was an avid lover of music, and in her earlier years, you could often find her dancing the night away at the Alpine Club on Saturday nights. She also enjoyed being involved in the club's Bumper Pool League. Her hobbies included playing in a cribbage league, watching Lifetime movies and old game shows and spending time with her family. 

Nola leaves behind many loved ones, including her brother Conrad Roy and wife Claire; her three children, Roger Richard; Tammie Boucher and husband Paul; Kevin Ransom and his partner Wendy Bongers; her grandchildren, Anthony Richard and wife Erica; Lindsay Richard and Fiancé Nick Pigeon; Matthew Boucher; Kellie Boucher and Fiancé Chris Goupil; Jack Ransom; Cole Ransom; Rowan Wing; Sage Wing; her great-grandchildren, Connor, Jamison, Nathan, Violet, Weston, Wyatt and Nolan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Nola was preceded in death by two brothers; Adrien Roy and Armand Roy; and her sister, Lorraine (Roy) Barbin. 

Nola will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

A memorial gathering will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematoriums located at 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH 03104 on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by a memorial service in the funeral home at 12 pm. Committal Prayers to follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
