Norman E. Bedard, 78, of Goffstown, died October 31, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Goffstown on March 2, 1925, the son of Joseph and Marie (Cote) Bedard and had been a lifelong resident of the area. He attended Goffstown schools and was a World War II US Navy Veteran. After the war, he was employed by Concord Mills, Verney Mills and Velcro USA where he retired after 23 years. He was a member of the CWV, belonged to the Freedom Campers Association and the Merrimack Valley Pioneers. He was an avid candle pin bowler for most of his life. He enjoyed camping, the mountains and the ocean. He was predeceased by three children, Lionel E. Bedard, Daniel R. Bedard and Pauline R. Bedard. Family members include his wife of 56 years, Therese (Gagne) Bedard; two sons, Raoul R. Bedard of Goffstown and Dominic Bedard of New Prospect, SC; three daughters, Rachel Cotnoir of Boscawen, Patricia Bedard of Goffstown and Annette L. Baur of Deerfield; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; five brothers, Maurice Bedard and Robert Bedard, both of Goffstown, Albert Bedard of Manchester, Paul E. Bedard of Dunbarton and Rev. Andre Bedard of Nashua; two sisters, Alliette Demers and Lucienne Pinard both of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Church of the Transfiguration, with Rev. Andre Bedard officiating. After cremation, urn burial will take place in Mt.
