Norman Dalbec, age 92, peacefully passed away at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH on June 25, 2019. He was the loving husband of the late Katherine (McIlmail) Dalbec to whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Norman was born and raised in New Bedford MA where he graduated from Holy Family High. After high school he enlisted in the US Army during World War II and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. After the service, he enjoyed a successful career for 34 years as a Salesman for John Hancock Insurance. Norman moved with his family to Acushnet MA in 1958 before retiring to Venice FL 30 years ago.
In is leisure time, Norman enjoyed playing tennis, sailing, skiing, and traveling the country with his wife in his RV. But above all else, he treasured the time spent with family and his large circle of friends. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
He leaves behind his son Thomas Dalbec and his wife Suzanne (Fournier) of Deering NH and was preceded in death by his sons Stephen and Richard Dalbec. He is survived by his 5 grandchildren, Karen, Nathan, Noël Dalbec, Andrew and Caroline Dalbec.
