Norman C. McInnis, 67, of 24 Mountain Road, Goffstown, died June 3, 2000 at Courville at Manchester. He was born in Waltham, MA on November 30, 1932, the son of Norman and Martha (Coldwell) McInnis and had lived in Goffstown for the past eleven years. Prior to that, he had lived in Manchester and Londonderry. We was a Korean War Army Veteran and a member of the D.A.V. He had been a cross-country truck driver for National Transportation for many years and had also been a truck driver for DeMoulas. After that, he had been employed by Alpha Courier until his illness. He was an avid gardener. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy (Carroll) McInnis who died in 1980 and by a son Robert McInnis. Family members include his wife of eighteen years, Evelyn (Schofield) (Clemons) McInnis of Goffstown; five sons, Norman McInnis, Jr. of Manchester, Gary McInnis of Goffstown, Robert McInnis of Barnstead, William McInnis of Derry and Gerald McInnis of Lowell, MA; three daughters, Patricia McInnis of Ellendale, MN, Joanne McInnis of Clinton, MA and Robin McInnis of Richmond, IN; two stepdaughters, Darlene Mudge and Dawn Costella both of Goffstown; a grandson whom he raised, Brian K. McInnis of Goffstown and six other grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold McInnis of Merced, CA and Fred McInnis of Chester; a sister, Nancy Ware of Chester; two stepbrothers, Arthur Strong of Mesa, AZ and Philip Strong of Concord; four stepdaughters, Gloria Poitras of Goffstown, Joan Davis of Candia, Joyce Hartz of Concord and Brenda Strong of Laconia; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., on Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gordon Robertson, Pastor of Manchester Baptist Church officiating. Urn burial will take place on Wednesday in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell, MA.
